My mom and I met after work to try on some wedding dresses. I didn't know I was going to buy anything that night. In my mind's eye, I wanted something straight and silky like LA Confidential. I didn't want huge poof and I certainly didn't want frills. But I told the woman who was helping me, I'll try on anything. She pulled this dress from the rack and I shrugged and said, "sure." After trying on a few dresses, we came to this one. When it was on, even though it was a little big, I could tell never to judge a dress on the hanger again. It looked beautiful. My mom started crying. She said this was the one. Once you see tears in your mom's eyes, you can't really go back!
On my wedding day, I literally felt like the most beautiful person in the world. I really did feel like a princess, like nothing could possibly get me down. I get teary just thinking about it. This dress was perfect. This dress was absolutely stunning. I am so glad I picked it. I wore it down the isle, with the long train. And I also wore it bustled up dancing. It was SO MUCH FUN to dance in. I had mobility and grace.
The bodice of this dress is incredible. It's delicately beaded and rouched to the left side. The bottom falls in layered ruffles on a diagonal. There is some embroidery on the ruffles. The back is corset-tied with a nice, droopy bow.
